An excellent question. I’d like to think so. There isn’t really any concrete proof one way or the other. But that’s why I posted it. I think they are. But no one can say for sure.

are you sure? because when you go into that room as a kid, the soldier in there talks about how much he loves ghosts, and how he wishes that there was more of a market or interest for them.

Yes, this is pretty common. I think most people assume that, especially because he’s in the same room. The soldier DOES talk about how he likes creepy things, but I don’t recall him saying anything about wishing there was a market for them. As for this post, it’s just one headcanon. Like I said before, there is no way to prove one way or the other. This is the headcanon I believe. The two just have so many similarities. They both carry a long stick, the boy is obsessed with hanging out in a graveyard, the poe collector is obsessed with ghosts. Both of them have a bit of a fidgety motion about them. These just seem like a remarkable amount of coincidence to me. There isn’t enough conclusive evidence either way.
